Fresh-O-Matic

After eleven months of owning the compact refreshment
machines, I can honestly say that I am pleased with how
the business has grown. I looked at several small
business ventures before deciding on this type. My
decision was based on four criteria that the business
would have to meet.
1. Small investment
2. Low inventory
3. No employees
4. All cash business
I was not interested in paying any franchise fees or
on-going royalties. As it turned out, I made the right
decision.
Having been in business before, I knew a lot of the
pit-falls that I would have to face. I knew the pros and
cons of a venture that was untested in my area, but I
decided to take a gamble.
At this point in time, the business has exceeded my
expectations. The accounting is very simple and this
business actually helped me save money on my personal
taxes to recoup more than one-half of my initial
investment.

The machines are well built and require minimal
maintenance. The customers are happy and have
recommended them to other businesses.
My goal of thirty machines in three years is very
realistic. At this point, I am getting referrals.

The company sells machines to us hoping that we never take them out of the boxes. When we do we get hit with the reality that it is 100 times harder than they led us to believe. The machines right out of the box have major problems, that can take weeks to get the problem fixed. Regularly machines get shipped back, they say they don't buy back machines but they do to avoid the negative press from the BBB. All I can say is stay away, stay away and finally stay away.

most satisfying job of all. What I was looking for was an opportunity to work
for myself and also have someone show me the business. I wasn't looking for

I started with 2 machines. Before the machines arrived, Fresh-o-Matic had
sent me documentation on how to place the machines. I was considering using
a locator but the instructions seemed so simple I thought I would save the
money and do it myself. To my amazement, I had both machines placed before
I even had them. At that time the G8 summit was starting. Both machines went
into that building. My son and I moved the machines in and we serviced them once
a week on a Saturday morning. My wife joined me afterward and it became our
time together to talk and discuss other things in our life. It's amazing how
wonderful you get along when you are pouring money into a bag!


As time when on, we had to service the machines twice a week because they
just kept running out of product. The last couple of weeks, before the G8
Summit ended, I was back looking for locations. I also thought I would like
to take the family on a vacation cruise to Alaska. When we got back, you'll
never guess what was on our answering machine! That's right, we placed both
machines in two different locations and one of the locations was a 350-person
law firm. They requested 2 machines for that building and how could I say
no. We ordered our 3rd machine from Fresh-o-Matic,


Things were going good for us when one of our machines had a problem. Now
was the test of service! I must admit, dealing with Fresh-o-Matic is like dealing
with Family. I'm no mechanic, but I knew something was wrong. The guys talked
me through the entire test that I should be making, step-by-step, and the problem
was immediately solved. Now that was service!!


It's still a hobby for me but when I retire, I'm getting me more of them machines!!

it's a real scam, they are here to get you with as much money as possible, all their stories thay tell you at the show and at the seminar are 1 piece of Garbage. they are selling you the machines for 10 times more of the market price, they make sure to get you very fast so you don't have time to sense the truth, with all balonies that they are only accepting up to 5 distributors per area, they don't hire distributors and they don't coach etc., they are just here to get you and sell you machines for 10 times the price of market and that's all, the marketing system to get locations that they promote at the show is also BS, you can send out 10,000 flyers and not get even 1 response, just be aware of 1 thing. ALL teh good locations in your area are already taken by the big established vending companies the ones that don't have a machine or it's too small and you can't even cover your gas to drive there or they have a police that they don't let to have vending machines. don't forget to get the machine in to a location you need a truck and moving company, these machines are very very heavy, you have to work 5 years or maybe 10 until you cover the expenses

I recently made the biggest mistake in my life by getting involved with this company.
I made a $25, 000 purchase for machines and locations. After a number of months the locations are useless,
the machines break down and I am getting no support.
I have made no money after all the costs and I am now out my $25,000 for machines that are worthless.

Mellissa and I are extremely excited about becoming business owners through Fresh-O-
Matic's Distributorship Program. For a number of years we have researched and
scrutinized numerous potential business opportunities looking for the one investment that
for us made good business sense.
What gets us so excited about this venture is that I have actual first hand experience with
the Compact Refreshment Centre. My previous work office has a Fresh-O-Matic CRC
and out of the five vendors we tried it was the only reliable piece of equipment we used.
Add to this a distributor who understood how to service his clientele properly and it was
easy to see why it was so successful. Besides reliability and good service, the thing I
noticed immediately was just how much the workplace staff actually used the
refreshment centre. You could see it provided a valuable service that was obviously
desired and well received. Certain individuals changed their coffee break and lunchtime
habits by becoming extremely and in some cases solely dependent upon the products the
centre provided.
Though I am no longer with that company, just this week I followed up to see if they still
used the same vendor. Sure enough they still have the same company and now use his
CRC and its products more than ever.
For Mellissa and myself what is most exciting about this venture is the opportunities it
provides to build our own business and gain the financial independence and security that
is so important to us. It allows us as a family to make an investment not only for
immediate returns today, but for future growth as well. As new parents we have been
looking for an opportunity to control our work environment and hours so that we can
incorporate it into the upbringing of our children. This is extremely important to us. It
provides Mellissa and myself as parents the opportunity to involve our children down the
road in an invaluable, productive learning experience while giving them the option to
take over the business in the future. .'

I have now completed my first year in the refreshment business and can say that it
has been a rewarding and educational experience. The interaction with my customers on
a weekly basis is a lot of fun, and I have gotten to know some people whom I would
otherwise never have met. Having never been in any kind of business for myself before.
I have had to learn the many different aspects of owning your own business, from dealing
with customers and suppliers, to business statements and tax advantages. I have found
that if you treat people with the respect that you want to receive, you generally are treated
with the same respect. Fresh-O-Matic has been very helpful with all aspects of operating my business.
The CRC Vending machines have been virtually trouble free, as long as you
follow the advice that is freely given: They do require some maintenance, but this is
generally just keeping everything clean and lubricated, which is part of any business.
I followed the instructions for placement, which were distributed with the information
package I received, and had my machines placed very quickly. I have only had to move
one machine to a better location, and I started to receive income immediately after they
were placed. Any problems I have had were dealt with very quickly, requiring only a
phone call to the service department for some advice or instruction as to the proper way
to remedy the problem. I have purchased additional machines since I took delivery of the
initial machines, and received only the promptest of service.
Fresh-O-Matic Corporation has delivered on any promises that they have
made and have always treated me with courtesy. I appreciate the opportunity to do
business with such a reputable company, and hope to expand my business in the future.
