Read! Read! Read! Please read what you sign up for. For people claiming they never saw anything stating how or when they would be charged: When you sign up for this and then call your bank you are committing friendly fraud, meaning you knew what you were signing up for and knew you could get your money back by calling your bank. Who is the real criminal? The chat agent told me exactly that I would be charged the 18.95 and that included credits to search for other kinds of things like property records or inmate searches and some other stuff. Being that I only wanted a VIN check, I didn't need the service so I did not pursue it. However, it was stated pretty clearly at the top of the page the break down of their price.

Indeed, a fraudThe impression is: see the history of a car for one dollar.
The fact is: payments of $ 18,95 are withdrawn monthly What makes it deceptive is that when the payments are with withdrawn it is done under different company names: OnlineCarReport.com, CardataUSA.com, OnelineCarReport.com. An other name is: vinreportcheck.com |

Yep, it's a scam!Everyone else who said they got ripped off is correct. After giving my card number I stopped when they asked for my address, phone # etc. Never saw anything that remotely resembled an order confirmation or terms and conditions. My card was charged $1.00 by CarDataUsa.com and $18.95 by VinReportCheck.com. I never went to either of those sites and never received anything from them or CarHistory.us.org. Don't fall for it. I'm feeling pretty stupid right now.

why is the companies fault that the user for the site cannot read? Why is it when I called in I got a very clear explanation for what to do to sign up and not only that when I went to the site myself the options were very clear when you actually spend the time to READ what is on the page. It very clearly says that in one button what you are agreeing to being their vdp at 18.95 and it clearly says in the other button right below it NO THANKS TAKE ME TO MY REPORT. This is what is wrong with our country today. People NOT READING what they agree to and then when they find out that they actually did agree to something they want it to be other peoples problems and not theirs. take responsibility for your actions the company didn't put a gun to your head and force you do sign up for this, you did it of your own free will. man up and be an adult.

YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR AUTOMATIC CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD INDEFINITELYCarHistory.us.org does nearly everything legally possible to hide from you that you are agreeing to allow them to automatically charge your credit card monthly - with no specified termination point.
Be prepared to lose money, far more than their touted .99 cent upfront fee. As well, be prepared to call them, get the runaround and be shuffled to a so-called 'manager.' Lastly, after dealing with them have your bank deactivate your credit card and issue a new one to you. Optional, but I'd recommend a lengthy cleansing shower afterward to rinse of the grime of dealing with such lowlifes. |

They are crooksI paid $14.95 to do a car history but they charged my cedit card every month for 7 more months before I realized what was happening. Cost me 7x15=$100 for one car review. And when I called the guy was an ass hole.
Everyone is a crook. Never give out your credit card number to any one. |

I wasted my time and piece of mind!I wanted to check on a vehicle. . I never checked a car history before. I goggled and they were supposedly to offer a car history check for free. But then it turned out they needed 1 dol. Fine! I used my credit card (I have one with low limit for Web staff). After I submitted the payment, instead of seeing a report or conformation number, they gave me an additional login screen - that was a red flag. I called them and they wanted to get from me things such as:
1. My Full Name 2.e-mail address 3.last 8 digits of may credit card -or else I could go to a live chat; that does not seem to be live at all - just primitive reiterations of what's your e-mail and full name. Having read reviews about them, i called the credit card, explained my concerns, and together with the live credit card agent went on a conference call where I explicitly explained to this company that I don't want to do anything with them, no service, not correspondence, no advertisement. no recurring charges, no nothing - just stay away from me, and my credit card! The manager said that they won't charge me again. Then the manager asked if i wanted to sign up to be able to log in and see the report. I declined very explicitly, saying that I dont want to log in to they site, and politely suggested that they perhaps they could refund my 1 dol since no report was delivered and prior to the payment I was not explained about any need to log in anywhere. Then she promised that they will refund the 1 dol fee. I have a feeling that if I did not use a credit card agent, it would not have gone as smooth. The overall experience of getting things in order took me about 1 hour and a half or so and it was not a pleasant experience. |

Stay away!!! They are crooks!!Wanted to check A VIN on a classic car for sale out of state. Entry page says $1.00 will be charged to your credit card account. 2 days later I see on my credit card account that $18.95 was charged. No where in the transaction did it ever say, I would be charged this amount. Contacted my credit card company to block further transactions from them.

YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR AUTOMATIC CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARDYOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR AUTOMATIC CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD if you click on virtually anything on the web page. Read the Terms and Conditions! Point 12 says you are agreeing to automatic payments. I don't see that info anywhere else on their site!! If you try to contact them they will tell you that they cancelled your account and will issue a refund. I have yet to see any refund.

I want my refund or I am going to file more than just a complaint on some website! I will go all the way, to get everyone who works at the company in jail! I have people who will help me with this! You have been warned! Contact me, otherwise I am going to sue you, scams! You ruined my good weekend with your fraudulent action! |

Took more money from my accountBeware of Carhistory.us.org. Bunch of scammers who hide behind their website.
I have ordered a vin check, which was suppose to cost just about $3.00. In a week I have been checking my account, and I have noticed that they actually took $30.00! I have reported the situation to my bank and they said that they are going to refund me this money, and informed that I should stay away from this company, as they have been receiving many calls like mine about Carhistory lately. Many people have been scammed. I have contacted Carhistory.us.org myself and never was given any response as to why they took my money. I am still cautious, and I think I better change my bank account, so they would not scam me again. Btw, their Live Chat does not work as well! Don't even think that you'll be able to settle the matters on your own! Keep your lawyer in mind. |
