Empty PromisesI had to look for a new career after 25 years and thought I could use a little assistance. I hired SC&C for $8,300, the process started with me writing all of the content for them to make a web folio and resume. After 30 days of providing all of the info, a professional resume writer produced a resume. Fast forward four months and not a single call back from a potential employer. I started losing faith, and my career coach stopped calling and emailing, it has been two months since the last contact. I decided to take matters into my own hands and redo the resume, during this process, I discovered that their professional littered my resume with 17 of the worst words to use on a resume according to Forbes and various other web sites. My LinkedIn account was supposed to be written by a professional as well, and the same top turn-off terms were used. After I changed my LinkedIn profile and started applying with the resume I created, I began getting real interviews immediately. Four months of time wasted with using their system and when I ask for a refund, emails and phone calls are not returned.

Came across these negative reviews and wanted to share my experienceYou know the adage – “It might not be you, it might be your resume” adds to the frustrations of finding a new executive level position? While in my case, this was just the tip of the iceberg. I have not had to search for a job for over 26 years, so not only was it my resume, but my approach to the job search. With Stewart, Cooper and Coon (SC&C) and specifically, my “campaign director’, they helped me develop a new, fresh approach, in their terms a “marketing campaign”. As you are aware, landing an opportunity in a senior executive position is very hard and extremely competitive. But, not only did she coach me through the process of marketing myself, she gave me the tools and guidance on how to truly be effective in my “campaign”. The tools and resources available, as well as the personal coaching were astonishing. My CD and the SC&C team took time to know me, who I am, what I am about, and what I am capable of achieving. I just wasn’t another resume in a database waiting to be found. The beginning of the process is a lot of work but well worth it, and it is amazing how hard it is to dig deep and find out what you really can do. She gave me the tools to negotiate compensation and most importantly the courage to walk away from an offer, as I would have just been settling and not contributing to my fullest potential. In the end, I am very confident that between the personal attention from my CD and the support of the SC&C team in helping write and produce my “marketing” materials, and ultimately coaching my through the compensation negotiations, I have found an opportunity that is for me and has amazing upside potential. I highly recommend Stewart, Cooper & Coon as your professional coach and opportunity search team.

Focused and On TrackI found myself unemployed after a 30 year successful career. After 6 months of an unsuccessful job search, I connected with Stewart Cooper & Coon. The company has an extremely professional staff and all the tools to assist a job seeker. I probably used 75% of the tools however the most impactful part of the process was the coaching provided. My coach wasn’t an easy task master. She kept me focused, on track and moving in the right direction. She was always supportive and had great insights and perspectives. She was readily accessible for interview preparation and debriefing and always offered good constructive feedback. The staff assisted me by contacting target companies I identified on my behalf. They were also very proactive, timely and kept me informed of all of activity. In the end, it was the staff's persistence with a company that I sent several resumes that helped me obtain and interview and a job offer. I am confident that the SC&C proprietary WebFolio (which required a tremendous amount of work on my part ) prepared me for tough interviews and played a significant role in my success. I was able to walk through my previous positions and articulate significant accomplishments throughout my career, many of which I may not have recalled without this process.
I also came to understand that that this is work I needed to do for my own satisfaction and was glad my coach and the staff held me accountable for moving through their process. I felt the financial investment was money well spent! Angela A |

jeUsmrEYIIUYGusyes . He went on to say that they had already dopesited 25% by Credit Card with the remaining 75% paid within 28 days this would mean that I would get my money (paid whichever way I wanted) within six weeks. He then asked if I had any contract paperwork to which I replied that I had never received any, including the cashback certificate. He then told me I would need to sign and return an indemnity form to enable him to get a replacement contract to pass to the new owners.Without prior knowledge of this type of scam this all sounds very plausible and everything is being done for your benefit. He then hit me with the age old and of course to show good faith you will need to pay an indemnity payment . I replied that the EU timeshare directive regs 2011 made this type of request for advance or upfront fees illegal. He blustered that this was the rules he had to work to, and that obviously this was standard procedure. I replied that whateve16a0r he chose to call this advance money request, it was still illegal and if he continued in this way then as an independent broker he was WORKING ILLEGALLY. He then got more agitated when I told him that I had numerous people contact me previously with the same scam after they had received my money (never going to happen) the purchasers would miraculously disappear off the face of the earth and I would be left with a lighter bank balance and a worthless holiday club membership. I then really lost it and told him I was f****d off with people trying to scam more money out of me. He then hung up!!

The response I got from them was rude and dismissiveReceived two unsolicited emails from them after turning on job search functionality on LinkedIn. An Internet search on their name produced mixed results. Some like them a lot, others complained that they asked for fees (from the job seeker). I directed them to my resume on http://monster.com. The response I got was rude and dismissive.

Totally uselessI received an email saying they would like to interview me for a job. When I went in, to their SHARED OFFICE I found out they didn't have a specific job and I told them they lied to me to get me into their office. They said they had "direct" contact with compaies looking for my skills. If that was the case the companies would pay their fee, not me. They wanted $3, 500 UP FRONT. I told this scum bag I would ever pay for anything upfront, especially a service that is always paid by the employer, and with no guarantee of even a phone call. Then this idiot said he would only charge half and the rest would be paid after I get hired. What an jerk and total waste of time. Never contact them unless they have a specific job; do not require payment from the searcher, and if you make it to their office and discover they are shared office space, regardless of how nice, turn around and get out as soon as possible. Some of these are nothing but a franchise to use their "offical" sounding name and some direction onsetting up an office and coaching on what to tell the victim. Not a bad gig when you can pay a high school kid to skim resumes for key words which are used for bait and contact info, schedule appointments every hour or less, and even one hit will get you $4, 000 - 5, 000. Never supply additional info that isn't already on your resume.

Fake job offers, this is scamI was searching for a job for a long time and then I decided just to put my resume on the internet and wait till someone will call me. I received a call from Stewart, Cooper & Coon the next day and they told me that they can help me to find the job I want. It sounded good also because I couldn’t find job myself. I paid $400 and they promised me a refund if they didn’t manage to find something appropriate for me during three months.
Of course they didn’t find a work for me and I started working for my uncle, but three months later I decided to return my money. When I called them, I got a rude answer that they found work for me but I didn’t fit. It is a total scam! I have never got any job offer during three months and I told them to provide evidence about the job they found. I have also told that if they can’t provide any proof they have to refund me money within one week. I consulted with my lawyer and he told me that they have no right to refuse on my request. I just hope they didn't get too many people scammed. 4809 E Thistle Landing Dr., Phoenix, Arizona 85044 Website: http://www.stewartcoopercoon.com/ Phone: (602) 385-3000 |

Never fulfilled their promise and I've never got hiredI received two unsolicited emails from Stewart, Cooper & Coon them after turning on job search functionality. An internet search on their name produced mixed results. Someone liked them a lot, but others complained that they asked for fees. I directed them to my resume and asked to contact me if they’ll find something and the response I got was rude and dismissive. They didn’t want to provide any help despite the fact that email stated that I can get consultation for free and they will also add me to their database for free for two weeks.
After some time I decided to try to call them again and told that I am going to join their program and I will pay as much as they ask. Of course the answer was different than the first time. Stewart, Cooper & Coon promised to find me a job in six months otherwise they will fully refund the membership fees. They have never contacted me and have never replied to my emails or picked their phone. Well, now I am starting the lawsuit against them and I know that I will win. I was suspicious about this company and now I know what a shit they are. I have saved all the documents and emails from them. My lawyer even told me that I can get more then lost as compensation. I hope that many people will avoid this scam due to my report. Watch out and spread it to the world!
